Jailin Daley (Kyle) born in Toronto, is a young Jack of many trades. He is a self taught professional Hip Hop choreographer that has taught classes for 6 years and counting. He also acts in multiple roles in films such as Netflix Grand Army, Ginny & Georgia, Lock n Key and much more to come. When he’s not working he uses his free time learning languages and volunteering at shelters.

Krys Bonikowsky (Phoenix and 911 Operator) is a passionate mental health advocate with lived experience as a former youth in care navigating various mental health systems. She is a recent graduate of the Child and Youth Care diploma program through Humber College in Toronto, and is continuing her education to pursue her BACYC from Humber in the fall. Sean Guptill (Patrick and Brody).  I am currently enrolled at Humber College in Toronto. I am completing my bachelor’s in CYC. I am a student amplifier for the OACYC, and I enjoy my work as a frontline case manager at a youth shelter, the same youth shelter I lived in when I was 16. My goal is to get my bachelor’s degree in CYC to provide a holistic approach when supporting children, youth, families, and their communities.  As CYCPs, I believe our role is to plant seeds in the development and change of relationships and behaviours of the people we support. We may never get to see the flower or the fruit that these seeds we plant develop into but being part of the process is special to me. Being part of the creation of Refiled was quite possibly the most magical experience I have had. Wolfgang led the creative process, which totally got me out of my comfort zone. Still, I loved all the improv we did and other theatrical activities we used to gather data for Wolfgang’s research which was later developed into this fantastic podcast. So magical!

As a music producer, CYW, educator and student I am passionate about building community and sharing joy. I’m a South African born hip hop nerd who is interested in the intersection of arts-based practices, social/economic justice and healing.

Shannon Cherry (Cerise and Instructor) is a fun-loving, sing loudly in the shower kind’a 30 something year old. She’s a dog mom, environmentalist, mosaic artist, child and youth care practitioner (from care), student, aspiring teacher and most recently an amateur pod-cast voice actor. She has been thrilled to participate in such an amazing project with some of her favourite people and share her debut performance in ReFiled with the world!

Shannon Cherry is a school-based CYCP who has been working in Child and Youth Care for nearly two decades. Throughout her career, she has engaged in working with young people in residential placements, treatment centers who have conflict with the law, and young people with complex neurologies. She is near completion of her Masters in CYC at Ryerson University, where her primary focus has been youth leadership in child welfare.

Cris Ariza is currently working as a domestic violence caseworker for women refuges and a continuing adult learner – Psychosocial Masters student. Previous roles have included community project worker, adult social care trainer and CPD course developer, high school language teacher, check out chick, barmaid and mother. Cris lives in London, UK.

Wolfgang Vachon (Producer and Director) has worked with children and youth as a practitioner, artist, and educator for close to three decades. Community-arts practice has informed his work with diverse young people, in multiple contexts. Wolfgang is a faculty member in Child and Youth Care at Humber College, a PhD candidate at the University of Victoria, and a host of CYC Podcast: Discussions on Child and Youth Care (www.cycpodcast.org).
